For three days the actor, a three-time Oscar nominee, has been trying to convince the jury that Heard’s accusations of domestic abuse are false and have destroyed his career.

“We drank together. We did cocaine together maybe a couple of times,” Depp said when asked about dating rocker Marilyn Manson.
In a text message to another friend, actor Paul Bettany, Depp spoke about taking a flight without having “food for days, powders, half a bottle of whiskey, 1,000 Red Bulls and vodkas, pills and two bottles of champagne.”
In the first week of the trial, the names of so many celebrities have come out to fill a tabloid.

Heard, meanwhile, was jealous of a Depp tattoo that read “Winona Forever” (“inona forever”), a reference to his ex-girlfriend Winona Ryder. Depp said he had the last two letters removed and the tattoo now reads “Wino Forever.”
The actor was questioned about his text messages in which he asks for help to stay sober to Elton John and others to the singer Patti Smith in which he admits to drinking too much.
Domestic abuse is at the center of the trial and Depp and Amber Heard they accuse each other of being violent during their short marriage from 2015 to 2017.
Depp said he told several people about being beaten by Heard, including director Tim Burton, one of “his dearest friends,” and Alice Cooper, a member of the band “The Hollywood Vampires.”
The jury also heard Depp read out obscene text messages to various people calling Heard a “sneaky whore.” among other epithets.
In a message, Depp refers to his ex-partner, the singer Vanessa Paradis, mother of his two children, as a “French extortionist”.
On those messages, Depp acknowledged that it may have been excessive, but he defended himself: “When I write a message… it’s a canvas, it’s a painting.”
Depp sued Heard over a 2018 column describing herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”
Heard did not mention Depp in the text published in the Washington Post but he accuses her of implying that he was an abuser and is seeking $50 million in damages.
Heard countersued in response, demanding $100 million and claiming she suffered “unbridled physical violence and abuse” at the star’s hands.
The trial resumes on Monday.
