Silvia Pinal gets serious in the theater before performing in a wheelchair

Minutes before taking the stage in a wheelchair, the legendary Mexican actress, Silvia Pinal, suffered a low blood pressure picture that prevented her from participating in the second performance of the play “Little Red Riding Hood! What’s up with your grandmother!”.

The acclaimed 91-year-old actress stayed for more than an hour in the new “Silvia Pinal” theater while her doctor managed to stabilize her pressure and later she left the premises accompanied by her private nurse and her trusted staff.

The producer and protagonist of the play, Carlos Ignacio, went on stage to announce to the audience the cancellation of Silvia Pinal’s participation in the staging due to health problems and explained that would be replaced by the actress Norma Nazareno.

After a decade without participating in a staging, the actress originally from Guaymas, Sonora, returned to the stage at the premiere of the play “Little Red Hood ¡Qué wave con tu abuelita!” on May 8 and became a trend on social networks.

Silvia Pinal plays a modern, tender and glamorous granny, but due to her advanced age and state of health, performed in an adapted chair on a wheeled platform during the first performance baffling the public and dividing opinions on social media.

And although the participation of the former senator of the Congress of the Union of Mexico in the children’s play has been questioned due to her state of health, the producers promised that he will be back on stage next week.

The Mexican actress, businesswoman, politician and producer shares the stage with a cast made up of Carlos Ignacio, Ivan Cochegrus, Sergio Zaldívar, Mary Paz Banquells, María Rebeca Alonso, Yolis Anaya, Rebeca Algarín, Christian Salazar and Josué Gandarillas.

Silvia Pinal’s return to the stage has generated controversy in the middle of the show and unleashed severe criticism towards the relatives of the diva of the Mexican gold cinema and the producers of the staging “Little Red Riding Hood! What’s up with your grandmother!”.
