At the opening of the 2021/2022 winter season in Val d’Ega (BZ), the Obereggen and Carezza ski areas they present themselves on time with an articulated heritage of 90 km of downhill slopes, 100 km of cross-country trails, three toboggan runs and countless hiking trails at the foot of the imposing massifs of the Catinaccio and Latemar, in the heart of the Dolomites. Just 20 minutes from Bolzano, yet immersed in the whitewashed landscapes of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the two ski areas are preparing for the ribbon cutting offering the guarantee of an exceptional experience for both professionals and beginners to the foil, the snowboarders, families and children.
On Friday 26 November at 7 pm, at the exclusive Après Ski LOOX – The Alpine Club, Obereggen will turn on the spotlight sn the new ski season. But this pearl, in addition to splendid days of skiing, snowboarding and sledding and walks in the shadow of His Majesty, the Latemar, will also offer magical evenings on the snow: every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 7 pm to 10 pm, the spotlights will illuminate the Obereggen slope, the homonymous toboggan run and the Night-Snowpark.
In addition to being one of the 12 Dolomiti Superski areas, fpart of the Obereggen-Val di Fiemme consortium, whose ski pass allows you to ski on 111 kilometers of slopes in the Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo area and in Cermis-Cavalese, Alpe Lusia and Bellamonte in Val di Fiemme. Obviously in Obereggen skiing, sledding and snowboarding, whose snow park is among the best known in Italy, will be accompanied by a gastronomic offer signed by 12 splendid refuges with large panoramic terraces.
In Carezza, considered the most popular ski area for families and children – who can explore the kingdom of the ruler of the dwarfs of the Dolomites all day between ski schools, leisure areas, a themed slope, a rich program of activities and a room games – the curtain opens on November 27, 2021, revealing many kilometers of slopes of all colors but still served continuously by 12 ski lifts. Those who spend more than one day in Carezza can also extend the fun to the tracks of the associated Val di Fassa ski area. At that point, the kilometers of the slopes become 110, and the lifts 54, for a total of six ski areas.
Easily and quickly reachable by cable car from the village of Nova Levante, Carezza has also upgraded its snow-making system, offering lovers of winter sports more experienced and those in the grass the safety of captivating slopes and countless opportunities to practice snowboarding, sledding, cross-country skiing, excursions with snowshoes and freestyle.
Big news of 2022: on January 15th the Tires cable car will be inaugurated, destined to connect the locality of San Cipriano with the Malga Frommer in the Carezza area. The arrival and departure stations will be underground and there will be a spectacular 60-seat cabin with a panoramic roof terrace.
To start the season on the right foot, Dolomiti Super Première – valid from 26 November to 22 December 2021 – offers a free day every 4, which become two in the case of stays of 8 days.
