Footage has emerged of Hollywood actor James Franco visiting Amber Heard at her apartment the night before she filed for divorce from Johnny Depp.

Surveillance video was shown to jurors at the Fairfax, Virginia, courthouse Tuesday morning as Heard faced intense cross-examination by Depp’s legal team during ex-partner’s high-profile defamation trial.

The video shows Franco arriving at Heard’s penthouse in the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles around 10:50 p.m. on May 22, 2016.

Four days later, on May 27, the actress from Aquaman filed for a family violence restraining order against her then-husband.

In the footage from May 22, Heard is seen going down in the elevator of her apartment building at 10:56 p.m.

The actress, barefoot and wrapped in a large coat, comes out of the elevator.

About a minute later, she returns with Franco, who is carrying a large backpack, and they get into the elevator and go up to her apartment.

In the images, it appears that the couple lean their heads together before exiting the elevator.

Heard confirmed that the footage shows her and Franco on their way to their penthouse.

Heard had previously testified that Depp assaulted her on a flight in 2014 after he accused her of having an affair with Franco.

Depp allegedly ‘hated’ the actor who acted with Heard in the movies Pineapple Express Y The Adderall Diaries.

Heard testified that her husband accused her of cheating on him with Franco while the couple was on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles in 2014.

The court heard how Depp allegedly flew into a rage and “kicked me in the back”, causing Heard to fall to the ground inside the plane.

Depp has denied mistreating Heard.

On the night of May 21, 2016, police were called to the couple’s penthouse in Los Angeles following an alleged violent incident.

Heard testified that Depp threw a cell phone at her face and showed the court a photo of her bruised face.

He also allegedly hit her on the top of the head with his ringed hand, pulled her hair back, taunted her and trashed the apartment, she testified.

When security guards and a friend from a neighboring apartment arrived, she said Depp was gone.

Heard said she didn’t cooperate with police officers at the time because she didn’t want to get her husband in trouble and she also didn’t “want the world to know” about the abuse.

Depp has given a different version of the events of that night, saying that he had gone to the apartment to collect some belongings and heard that Heard was laughing on the phone with a friend about an incident in which feces had been left on his bed.

He said he picked up the phone and told his friend, “You can have her now. She is all yours.”

Depp claimed that he then “dropped the phone on the couch.”

He is suing his ex-wife for libel over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for Washington Postwhere she described herself as “a public figure who represents family abuse.”

the actor of Pirates of the Caribbean is not mentioned in the article, which is titled “I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change” [“Me pronuncié en contra de la violencia sexual y enfrenté la ira de nuestra cultura… eso tiene que cambiar”].

However, Depp claims that it falsely implies that he is a family abuser, something he adamantly denies, and which has caused him to struggle to land roles in Hollywood. He is suing for $50 million.

Heard is filing a $100 million countersuit, accusing Depp of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and describing his lawsuit as a continuation of “mistreatment and harassment.”
