«The opportunity offered by Volotea gives us the opportunity to intervene on the corpus of Canovian clays with an important conservative restoration preceded by accurate scientific research conducted in collaboration with the University of Bologna and the University of Padua said Moira Mascotto, director of the museum. – These analyzes will allow us to obtain fundamental diagnostic results and to broaden our knowledge of these precious works and the methods followed by Canova to create them ».

“Only a few months have passed since the announcement of the winner of the # Volotea4Veneto contest and at the Gypsotheca Antonio Canova Museum everything is ready for the start of the restoration work on an important piece of the sculptor’s artistic heritage said Federico Caner, Veneto Region Councilor for Tourism, Agriculture and European Funds. – An initiative that demonstrates the commitment from which the synergy with the airline Volotea was born with which we share the belief that to do business in a land that thrives on tourism it is necessary to safeguard the assets that enrich it, with investments that go to beyond an immediate profit, but they guarantee the consolidation of that capital of inestimable value given by all its historical and cultural treasures ».

“The # Volotea4Veneto project that we helped build together with the airline and the Veneto Region was defined as a model of involvement of an enlarged community, which proudly actively participated in the tender for the assignment of the contribution allocated by Volotea, indicating the his preferences through social platforms – he said Camillo Bozzolo, Aviation Commercial Director of the Save Group – The initiative was also a vehicle for getting to know the cultural and artistic realities of our region which thus presented themselves to a wide audience. A visibility that the Antonio Canova Gypsotheca Museum will continue to benefit from beyond national borders, thanks to the spotlight turned on by Volotea on the restoration project and on the entire collection ».
